When we meet:

2025 Volunteer Work Bee Dates/Times*

All work bees are weather-dependent. Please watch Environment Canada for alerts for Deseronto an active extreme Weather alert will trigger cancellation of a work bee.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. Hats and sun protection are strongly encouraged. Please bring water in your own bottle (we will have potable water on-site but it’s unlikely to be cool in summer).

If possible, please park at the MBQ Administration office, north parking lot (24 Meadow Dr.) and take the path through the woods to the gardens.

Saturdays, as follows:

April 5, 10am -noon

May 3, 10am -noon

June 7, 10am -noon (may change to 9 am if the weather is hot)

July 5, 9am -11am

August NO WORKBEE

September 6, 10am -noon

October 4, 10am -noon

possible November date to be determined

Watch for details:

Keep an eye out here for coming volunteer opportunities.  Get down and dirty in the garden, or help serve lunch at an event. The possibilities are endless. This is an ever-changing section of this site so check back frequently!

Preparing beds:

The end of March is an extremely busy and important time for us as we prepare for planting. Additional hands are always welcome as we prepare the field, and seeds.
